Progressive Blackjack
Blackjack is one of the many well loved casino card games. One of the main attractions of blackjack is that it is fairly easy to beat the dealer. A good blackjack strategy (which can be easily achieved) can provide even a moderately lucky player with nice winnings. Nonetheless, the bets at blackjack have fairly low odds and this reflects in the total winnings. Thus, many players enjoy one of the now popular variations of blackjack that includes a progressive pot. In these blackjack games it costs a little bit more to play because there is a mandatory side bet, but players get a chance at winning the big blackjack jackpot. To win the big jackpot a player must be lucky enough to hit certain specific combinations.
Triple 7s Blackjack
The Triple 7s Blackjack game designed by Microgaming is precisely such a progressive game. The additional advantage of triple 7s blackjack over other progressives is that there are actually several smaller prizes that can be won as well. Even getting a single 7 gives a bonus payout and getting multiple 7s of any sort provides for an ever increasing prize. The big prize is won when a lucky blackjack player scores three 7s of diamonds. While the precise sum differs (because it is dependant on an accumulating pot), you can be certain that the lucky player will be seeing stars as well as diamonds!
Blackjack Rules
Since blackjack games differ slightly from one another in particular nuances of rules, it is worth noting here that the following rules apply to the Microgaming version of Triple 7s Blackjack:
Splitting is allowed but not re-splitting. In addition, a 21 win after a split is counted as 21 and not as a blackjack.
Doubling down is allowed - this option is available also after a split.
An insurance bet can be wagered if the dealer gets an ace - this bet pays 2 to 1.
